Conflicting mental models

A mental model is a thought process or framework one uses to examine a situation. For example, supply and demand is a mental model used to understand the economy. Mental model is determined by a person's knowledge, perceptions, life experiences, and interpretations of the world. Similarly, one's perceptions and interpretations are informed by the mental models they use.
