Mental models

A mental model is a thought process or framework one uses to examine a situation. For example, supply and demand is a mental model used to understand the economy. One's mental model is determined by their knowledge, perceptions, life experiences, and interpretations of the world around them. Similarly, one's perceptions and interpretations are informed by the mental models they use.
